Hehe.
If you’ve been living in Bandung for quite sometime, I’m sure you need no more introduction about this place. It’s Dapur Dahapati, everyone! You might already know, but in case you haven’t, this place is known to be the one serving the best oxtail soup in Bandung. I actually have no other places to compare with, so let’s just say it’s indeed the best, for now, though I found a lack of consistency in their cooking process.
There’s always room (and time) for coffee with a friend. So it was Sunday morning, and I was about to pack all my things and move all the way to Jakarta. I woke up early to pick Fred up at the train station as he offered a help (and who can refuse anyway?). Actually, I was planning to wake up earlier so I could have my breakfast at home, but, you know… I failed miserably.
So, anyway, on our way home, I was like : “Hey wanna grab a cup of coffee? I haven’t had mine this morning”. And I remembered weeks ago, my friend Augi told me about this new place of Yellow Truck Coffee. Just so you know, Yellow Truck used to have this very small and not-so-comfortable place. But now look what it got!
You know, sometimes all you need is simply a cup of nice coffee in a small non-mainstream coffee shop with your dearest friend. So it was 3 days before I left Bandung, and I sort of showed my to-go-before-I-leave list to my friend, Augi, and she was like : “Oh! I forgot to take you to SF Roastery! We should go tonight!”. Then off we went!
SF Roastery is Augi’s favorite coffee shop in Bandung. And she has been willing to take me here ever since. “You’ll love it, Sharon!”, she said. I never knew what this place is all about, and uhm, I was not really sure if I’m going to love it or hate it. I didn’t hear much about this place either. But now I understand why she insisted on taking me here.
It’s Sunday! You know what that means: it’s time for waking up late and time for Sunday Brunch! It’s been quite sometime since I went out on Sunday morning to have brunch. But this morning, I was completely in a good mood and besides, I was craving for a nice croissant since…. the night before. And there’s no better place to have one in Bandung beside Sukha Delights.
Chinese New Year is just one week away! It’s a joyful time for our family since most likely, we’ll gather at our grandma’s house for dinner on New Year’s Eve! You know, the Chinese New Year’s Eve dinner is somehow believed to be the most important meal of the year. Not sure why, though.
Normally, on Chinese New Year’s eve, people will go out to a Chinese Restaurant and order some dishes we don’t normally eat at home. It’s like… a treat. Or, they’ll just cook something fancy at home.
If there’s one particular food that I keep craving for, that would be Japanese Food – no need to think twice. So right after coming back home to Bandung after my short trip to Bali early this month (will write more about it later!), I went to Fukuzushi with @nakamajem, just for the sake of fulfilling my cravings.Lanjutkan membaca “Fukuzushi, Bandung”
