“Kak, Pake Kamera Apa?”

The long awaited article is finally here! Jujur, ini salah satu pertanyaan yang aku bingung banget gimana jawabnya. Walaupun kedengaran simple sih ya.

Tinggal jawab aja apa susahnya sih, Shar?

Bagi aku, ini sama aja dengan kita nanya ke chef, “Chef, masakannya enak. Pake panci apa?” … Siap ditimpuk pake panci? LOL.

Takumi Robata and Sushi, Senayan Jakarta

You know, after I moved to Jambi, often times I find myself craving for sushi over and over again, like constantly. I don’t think I can find it here. I mean, some vendors do sell sushi, but it’s more like a fusion one and I’m not really into fusion. And besides, the one I tried here turned out to be more fusion than what fusion sushi should looks like to me, if you know what I mean. So the thing is, they don’t look like a good choice to me. Period.

Marche at Plaza Senayan Jakarta

It’s been ages since the last time I post something on the blog! Gosh, I’ve been busy (and lazy) lately. I found it SO HARD to put everything (effort, mood, etc etc etc) into one place and I just kept procrastinating on pretty much every thing. I HAD THE WORST WEEK, ever. And you know, the traffic in Jakarta really pisses me off, especially on Monday morning AND Friday evening. It’s just crazy. I don’t understand why people could live with this. Perhaps it’s time for me to go back to Bandung, eh? Or Jambi. Anywhere but here. There’s got to be another way.

ANYWAY, enough with the grumbling. So, for the sake of relieving my stressful mind, I went to Marche at Plaza Senayan for lunch during office hour.

SATOO Shangri-La Buffet, Jakarta

I’ve heard so much about this place even long before I moved to Jakarta. It’s said to be one of the best places for buffet in the city. And you know what? Last month (I think it was last month), Martha from @BaliFoodies called me and said that she’s going to be around in the city the next two week and asked me to join the mini InstaMeet she was about to hold during lunch break at SATOO. I was like, why not?! It would be really lovely if I could join the lunch and meet the other foodies from Jakarta.

Tokyo Belly, Jakarta

I have a good (which is also a bad) news for you guys! I will be moving to Jakarta next week and will start working from there by March. It’s sad that I have to leave Bandung, for good. But, I’m also excited as the same time as I get to explore more foods in Jakarta. Weehee!

And by the way, speaking about Jakarta, I managed to go there last week just to set everything. Stuffs like where I’m gonna stay, how am I gonna make it to the office, and many other small things. Then on weekend, I went for dinner with my sister and cousins. We came across Tokyo Belly at Grand Indonesia right after movie time, just because…. everybody deserves good foods after a tiring week!

Making Cocktail at Spanky’s!

There is always something exciting about going out for lunch meeting new friends, especially when you got to meet some new blogger friends you already knew from a long time ago on Instagram but yet never got a chance to meet them. Oh yeah, social media rocks!

That’s what I felt last weekend when I got to attend Zomato meetup where we, Indonesian food bloggers, learned how to make cocktail and martini at Spanky’s Ribs and Martini, Kemang Jakarta.

Kopi Es Tak Kie, Jakarta

Legendary. That’s the only word I found best describe Kopi Es Tak Kie. This old traditional coffee shop has been serving great coffee since 1927. And it’s been run from one generation to another.

I walked slowly at the alley just to make sure I didn’t miss this coffee shop. A hidden gem in Gang Gloria, Glodok Pancoran area, the Chinatown of Jakarta.

Celebrating FIFA World Cup 2014 in McDonald’s

Believe me, I’m not a kind of person who would normally go to the nearest McDonald’s store to grab my lunch. I would probably think twice before putting Big Mac into my mouth, just because I’m on diet.

But then, this thing caught me. You know that FIFA World Cup 2014 begins on June 12 right? And just exactly at this precise moment, McDonald’s Indonesia offers a special menu for you FIFA World Cup fans out there. It’s called McSpicy SAMBA Fiesta. Sounds a lot like Brazil – related huh? I know.. I know..
