Brunch at SUKHA DELIGHTS, Bandung

It’s Sunday! You know what that means : it’s time for waking up late and time for Sunday Brunch! It’s been quite sometime since I went out on Sunday morning to have brunch. But this morning, I was completely in a good mood and besides, I was craving for a nice croissant since…. the night before. And there’s no better place to have one in Bandung beside Sukha Delights.

Sukha Delights is actually famous for their desserts. But I do personally think their croissant is to die for! Like, I tried their classic butter croissant once and I just got hooked immediately. So I just came back this morning for more croissant!

I think I’m in heaven already?

To be honest, I have never tried their desserts before but I know a lot of people here who are obsessed with it. But since it was early in the morning, and all I wanted was a cup of coffee and a croissant, I think I’m gonna give ’em a shot later.

Anyway, I found the space on the first floor was a bit small for us, so we decided to went upstairs. There were literally no one but us! Guess we’re too early?

I don’t mind sitting here all day… as long as there are no noisy people around.

Enough with the tour, time to eat!

You know one thing about Almond Croissant (Croissants aux Amandes)? So originally, the French made this up as a way to sell the not-so-fresh croissants from the day before. They simply filled the croissant with almond cream, and then sprinkled ’em with some sliced almonds and baked it once again. Not a bad way to recycle, eh?

Look at that nice flaky pastry! The best part, thought, is the filling. The almond cream has this beautiful color and texture. It’s messy and gooey but pure heaven. You just got me, Sukha Delights!

My Sunday morning is perfect, thanks to Sukha Delights! Btw, I’m sure I’m coming back in a few days (or weeks) for their desserts. So I’d like to know if any of you have a favorite menu here. What should I pick? As I have no clue at all!
