Kazan Ramen, Jakarta

You know, I never knew that there’s such thing as Volcano Ramen. Like, ramen itself is served hot, right? And how hot does it take to make a ramen hot enough that it’s called Volcano Ramen? #confused “Nah, never mind, I’ll just come over and see how they serve the Ramen.”, I thought. So I went to Kazan Ramen Jakarta with Fred last week.

Here, the ramen is served in a hot bowl with a cone-shaped red lid that looks like volcano. The word Kazan itself means volcano, by the way. Now you might be wondering if the broth is going to erupt or something. No no no. That might be too…. unpleasant, and dangerous, really..  Lanjutkan membaca Kazan Ramen, Jakarta

North Pole, PIK Jakarta

Went to this dessert place at Pantai Indah Kapuk several weeks ago. I’ve seen so much photo of their ice cream, especially the one served on a smoky pan. It does looks good in photo! So we went there right after lunch. It was around 2 pm or something and there were already several name on the waiting list. I was like : “What the fuck are they selling?!”

… We ended up waiting on the line, though.

The outlet is, to be honest, pretty small. They have this minimalist design with indoor and semi-outdoor area. I totally forgot to take a pic of it since it’s very packed up that day and I was not in the mood of taking photos. But here’s the thing. The indoor area has this comfy sofa with wooden furniture and cute catchy wallpaper as the background. There’s also this counter at the back side with gelato display which really caught my eyes. Then, there’s this semi-outdoor area which totally get an amaziiing natural lightning from the wide window. The place itself is dominated with wood, blue, and white color. I think it does represent the word “North Pole” pretty well.

SF Roastery Coffee Lab, Bandung

You know, sometimes all you need is simply a cup of nice coffee in a small non-mainstream coffee shop with your dearest friend. So it was 3 days before I left Bandung, and I sort of showed my to-go-before-I-leave list to my friend, Augi, and she was like : “Oh! I forgot to take you to SF Roastery! We should go tonight!”. Then off we went!

SF Roastery is Augi’s favorite coffee shop in Bandung. And she has been willing to take me here ever since. “You’ll love it, Sharon!”, she said. I never knew what this place is all about, and uhm, I was not really sure if I’m going to love it or hate it. I didn’t hear much about this place either. But now I understand why she insisted on taking me here.

Just exactly 3 weeks ago, the five-star hotel, Padma Hotel Bandung, celebrate their 5th Anniversary by holding this so called FIVETASTIC. It’s a buffet dinner event featuring a large variety of international dishes. They also provide free flow wine from Sababay Winery and cigar from DOS Hermanos. Where To Eat in Bandung (Part 2)

“Where To Eat in Bandung” blog post is back! I know.. I know.. It’s been quite a while. Blame it on my inconsistency on making plan.

For those who don’t know what “Where To Eat in Bandung” is all about, well, it’s pretty much a compilation post about some of my favorite places to eat in Bandung. The post itself will mostly describes about what I like and what I don’t really like about the restaurant – if there’s any. And please note that this opinion of mine is very subjective. It really depends on my mood that day, and the service that day. You know, it all can just change anytime. Blogger Meetup at Two Cents Coffee, Bandung

If you’ve been following my Instagram (If you haven’t, shame on you! Go follow now! LOL), you might already know that a while ago, I was invited to a blogger meetup event at TWO CENTS BREW BELIEVER, Bandung together with the other #bandungfoodies.

It’s a pity that I arrived there 2 hours late (sorry guys!) since, you know, I went to attend a small ceremony for my graduation earlier that day and didn’t manage to arrive on time. Blame it on the traffic on weekend!

Javana Bistro, Bandung

I bet everyone knows what Paris Van Java is. Yes, it’s the hippest semi-outdoor mall in the city, the place people usually go out with a bunch of friends or family, either for dining out, watching a movie, or just walking around shopping.

Often times, I found it confusing to find a good place for dining in Paris Van Java. And lucky me, just a while ago, me and @makanpakereceh were invited by JAVANA BISTRO for a late lunch / early dinner. I never went to JAVANA BISTRO before since I thought it’s just some random expensive restaurant, but turned out, I was totally wrong. You’ll find out why later 😉 Lanjutkan membaca Javana Bistro, Bandung

Bonjour Paris! by Bawean Bakery

Every city has that one bakery people have been going since a loooong time ago. In this case, Bandung has Bawean Bakery.

It was first established in 1946 and was called “Sweet Heart”. What a name…. But then, as soon as they moved to Jalan Bawean 4, they changed the name to “Bawean Bakery”, in line with its location. Now that’s better!  Lanjutkan membaca Bonjour Paris! by Bawean Bakery
