[Hotel Review] Staycation at Ara Hotel Gading Serpong

Last month, I was fortunate enough to be invited by Ara Hotel Gading Serpong for a 2D1N stay together with the other bloggers (Yenny, Soya, Aline, and Icha). The event itself was called “Blogger Familiarization Trip at Ara Hotel Gading Serpong”.

It was my first time going to Gading Serpong and the pleasant stay made my first time in Gading Serpong memorable. It was a very nice escape from the busy over-populated Jakarta!

Marche at Plaza Senayan Jakarta

It’s been ages since the last time I post something on the blog! Gosh, I’ve been busy (and lazy) lately. I found it SO HARD to put everything (effort, mood, etc etc etc) into one place and I just kept procrastinating on pretty much every thing. I HAD THE WORST WEEK, ever. And you know, the traffic in Jakarta really pisses me off, especially on Monday morning AND Friday evening. It’s just crazy. I don’t understand why people could live with this. Perhaps it’s time for me to go back to Bandung, eh? Or Jambi. Anywhere but here. There’s got to be another way.

ANYWAY, enough with the grumbling. So, for the sake of relieving my stressful mind, I went to Marche at Plaza Senayan for lunch during office hour.

Kazan Ramen, Jakarta

You know, I never knew that there’s such thing as Volcano Ramen. Like, ramen itself is served hot, right? And how hot does it take to make a ramen hot enough that it’s called Volcano Ramen? #confused “Nah, never mind, I’ll just come over and see how they serve the Ramen.”, I thought. So I went to Kazan Ramen Jakarta with Fred last week.

Here, the ramen is served in a hot bowl with a cone-shaped red lid that looks like volcano. The word Kazan itself means volcano, by the way. Now you might be wondering if the broth is going to erupt or something. No no no. That might be too…. unpleasant, and dangerous, really.. Lanjutkan membaca “Kazan Ramen, Jakarta”

North Pole, PIK Jakarta

Went to this dessert place at Pantai Indah Kapuk several weeks ago. I’ve seen so much photo of their ice cream, especially the one served on a smoky pan. It does looks good in photo! So we went there right after lunch. It was around 2 pm or something and there were already several name on the waiting list. I was like : “What the fuck are they selling?!”

… We ended up waiting on the line, though.

The outlet is, to be honest, pretty small. They have this minimalist design with indoor and semi-outdoor area. I totally forgot to take a pic of it since it’s very packed up that day and I was not in the mood of taking photos. But here’s the thing. The indoor area has this comfy sofa with wooden furniture and cute catchy wallpaper as the background. There’s also this counter at the back side with gelato display which really caught my eyes. Then, there’s this semi-outdoor area which totally get an amaziiing natural lightning from the wide window. The place itself is dominated with wood, blue, and white color. I think it does represent the word “North Pole” pretty well.

Tokyo Belly, Jakarta

I have a good (which is also a bad) news for you guys! I will be moving to Jakarta next week and will start working from there by March. It’s sad that I have to leave Bandung, for good. But, I’m also excited as the same time as I get to explore more foods in Jakarta. Weehee!

And by the way, speaking about Jakarta, I managed to go there last week just to set everything. Stuffs like where I’m gonna stay, how am I gonna make it to the office, and many other small things. Then on weekend, I went for dinner with my sister and cousins. We came across Tokyo Belly at Grand Indonesia right after movie time, just because…. everybody deserves good foods after a tiring week!

Fukuzushi, Bandung

If there’s one particular food that I keep craving for, that would be Japanese Food – no need to think twice. So right after coming back home to Bandung after my short trip to Bali early this month (will write more about it later!), I went to Fukuzushi with @nakamajem, just for the sake of fulfilling my cravings.Lanjutkan membaca “Fukuzushi, Bandung”

Fluffy Says Cakery, Bandung Online Cake Shop

I can’t remember the first time I got hooked with dessert even though I try hard to. It might be at the second year of uni, I guess. I tried so many kinds of desserts I never had in my hometown back then.

One problem I usually find when buying myself some desserts home is the fact that desserts are so fucking hard to carry!
I mean, you’ve got to be VERY GENTLE to them or else they might not look pretty the moment you got home. Oh of course if you own a car, no problem will come to you. But for someone who rely on public transportation like me? uh uh. Not a good idea.Lanjutkan membaca “Fluffy Says Cakery, Bandung Online Cake Shop”
