Last month, I was fortunate enough to be invited by Ara Hotel Gading Serpong for a 2D1N stay together with the other bloggers (Yenny, Soya, Aline, and Icha). The event itself was called “Blogger Familiarization Trip at Ara Hotel Gading Serpong”.
It was my first time going to Gading Serpong and the pleasant stay made my first time in Gading Serpong memorable. It was a very nice escape from the busy over-populated Jakarta!
CHECKING-IN
We arrived at 12 and they helped us checking in before we were escorted to the restaurant. But of course, before the lunch, we went to our own room to put our bags and stuffs (and for taking pic, before it gets messy).
Each of us got our own Superior Room. It has this sofa, minibar, bathroom with shower, deposit box, hairdryer, and of course, comfy comfy bed with fluffy pillow.

LUNCH TIME
Then, after checking in, we headed to Yugo Restaurant to have our lunch. Thank God it was a All-You-Can-Eat kind of lunch since I was sooo hungry then. My favorite was their Corn Cream Soup.

SUSHI MAKING CLASS
Now this is the fun part : Sushi Making Class at YuGo Restaurant with Chef Djaelani! Chef Djaelani sort of showed us how to make sushi : from preparing the rice, shaping it, filling it, rolling, cutting, and serving. It was a fun time! We got to make (and eat) our own sushi!

I never knew making sushi is quite easy. That’s probably because they have prepared all the ingredients for us. Even the rice itself was pre-prepared. We just did the fun part 😉 WHICH IS FUN!
FREE TIME
Now it’s free time! I walked around the hotel before taking a bath. It was kinda surprising that they have a big pool in the middle of the hotel. Too bad I didn’t bring my swimwear with me.
DINNER (Set-Up Menu)
Now it’s dinner time! They provide several Japanese menu for us, from appetizer to dessert.

Imagine this : an egg mixture with mirin and soysauce, mushroom, shrimp, and many other ingredients, steamed. Very soft and silky. I love how simple this dish is. It can hardly go wrong!

Next was Role Combination Platter. I gotta tell you, their salmon sashimi is one of the best!

Then, we got Ramen Noodle Soup here. It has this clear soup with hard-boiled egg, mushroom, chicken, and veggies on top. I hate the fact that they use hard-boiled egg here as it’s not what I prefer. And this clear soup is just not suitable for my palate. I like my ramen broth to be thick and savory. But it was okay. It still tasted good though 😉

This platter is the bomb! I like the grilled salmon and the mix tempura. The beef was a bit hard, though. Thought they overcooked it a lil bit. But the seasoning was great!

As for the dessert, we had this Fried Japanese Matche Ice Cream. Don’t get me wrong, I LOOOVE their matcha ice cream. I just don’t like the fact that they got it fried.
BREAKFAST
The very next day, after having breakfast (ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT), we packed our things, checked out, and went home.
It was a really nice stay here at Ara Hotel Gading Serpong. If you are around and got no idea where to stay for the night, do consider this place. You can easily BOOK THE HOTEL NOW via Agoda.
Thank you for the hospitality, Ara Hotel! We had such a good time.
