Away From Internet and Merry Christmas!

One of the things that I enjoy the most about traveling is the feeling of being away from people. And that includes people from social media. *introvert detected* Seriously, noisy and kepo people really drains me out.

It’s crazy how my mind is focused more on Instagram and seeing other people’s life rather than enjoying my own. It’s weird that I talk to my “online” friends more that I talk to my family, who I meet every day at home. And the even weirder thing is that I enjoy all that. But at the same time, I don’t feel that it’s right either. It feels good but it’s not right.

I Quit My Job (And Now What?)

Yep…. You read it right.

It’s been two months since I resigned from my 8 to 5 job as a software developer and now I bake and decorate cakes for a living (go check https://www.instagram.com/bakemorecakes/ to see my works! 🙂 ). Sometimes I write too. And so far, it’s the best two months ever. Fred even mentioned about how I never complain about anything anymore, that I was never in a bad mood, and that I made the right choice.

One Day in Hong Kong Disneyland

This post is about my latest trip to Hong Kong last May. It’s a pity that I didn’t take that many photos of the city, but instead, I found myself busy taking pictures of every side of Disneyland. Perhaps because it was the highlight of my trip. Like, it’s one of those days when you feel super happy all the time. Like, you don’t get tired, or bored, or angry. You’re just… happy.

As the 90s kids, I grew up with Mickey Mouse and Disney princesses. (And Tom&Jerry too). So being able to be at the happiest place on earth, to me, was like a years-long dream come true.

Oh, this post is not about tips and tricks or whatsoever. You can easily google it if you want. This one is just bunch of my photos that I’d like to share. So, enjoy!

Staying at Sheraton Hotel, Bandung

It’s been two years since I left Bandung and I couldn’t be more than happy to be back! It was just a short 2 days vacation. And I had the pleasure to stay for 2 nights at Sheraton Bandung and experience all of their services including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even a spa.

After all of those months of baking and decorating cake, I found staying here was like a gift, more like a treat, really. I don’t have to do the dishes, I don’t have to deal with my customers. All I did was just relax and enjoy myself.

Best Transport Options from Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport

Arriving in Charles de Gualle airport (CDG) in Paris might be confusing, especially for the first timer. It’s one of the busiest airports in Europe and also the largest one in Paris. If you’re about to make your first trip to Paris, you might want to do some research about the transportation alternatives from the airport to the city, just to make sure that your trip will be hassle-free. Here’s some options for you 😉

Murni’s Warung, Ubud, Bali

My idea of relaxing, is to sit in a nice restaurant or a cafe, sipping coffee, eating good food, enjoying what is has to offer. Lucky me, I got a friend to travel around Bali without having to argue about where to eat next, what time to leave, or which way to go. Because you know, Mei and I seemed to have the same taste & pace of travelling. It’s nice!
Mei is not the kind of person who’d like to see all things at once. Instead, she took it slow. So we would pick an area to explore in one day and see how it goes later. We really didn’t have much plan.

Beijing, China. What’s not to Miss?

It’s my second time here in Beijing. I still remembered how I used to dislike this city, since… you know, I couldn’t seem to understand the language well. That time, ordering food seemed to be a big day-to-day problem to me. I even wrote about this language thing on How to Survive in China Without Knowing How to Speak Chinese. It shows how desperate I was, 4 years ago. Even worse, not only that I feel people are generally unfriendly, but I feel that they are also angry all the time. And it’s because I don’t understand the language.

So, several months back, before our departure to Beijing this year, Fred and I learned Chinese language for like, 2 – 3 months. I can say that it has helped us a lot during our trip. We could listen a bit of what the Chinese said, and ordered our food in Chinese. And hey, suddenly Beijing doesn’t feel that bad! It’s pretty nice, really.

Travel Guide : Manila, The Philippines (Tips and Trick Included)

Manila might be one of those cities I won’t revisit again in any other occasion. It looks and feels a lot like Jakarta, which I avoid most of the time. I mean, it’s a busy big city with the worst traffic jam ever. You can’t really walk in the city, and commuting from one place to another seems to be a day to day problem.

Manila, is pretty much the same with Jakarta. It’s pretty busy on its own.
