Mini Honeymoon in Bandung

Long before our wedding day, we’ve been planning for our short honeymoon trip to Australia before the real honeymoon (or should I say honey-year?) starts on 2018.

So the plan is, we’ll go to Darwin and do a road trip from there all the way to Sydney together with Adam & Susan. Then we’ll spend a couple of days in Sydney before we go back to Indonesia. Now we’re still waiting for our tourist visa application which hopefully will be issued next week.

Living A Healthy and Environmentally Friendlier Lifestyle

I’ve been trying to live healthier these days. Not only that Fred and I didn’t get to eat out that often anymore, but we also try to avoid eating junk food (that includes my favorite Samyang and Indomie), or any other kind of processed food. That means, say goodbye to our favorite KFC! 😦 And, we try to opt for the natural ingredients whenever possible.

One Month Before The Reception. And I Have a Mixed Feeling About This.

This is not my usual post on this blog. But, I gotta let this all out before I destroy my own wedding dress, seriously. I’m overwhelmed, and not in a good way. Well, actually I can’t destroy it. I rent it so they won’t give my deposit back if I do so. Oh, money… why are you so wasted.

And yes friends, we are having a reception by the end of March. Although both of us strongly refused to have one, for one reason and another, we still can’t completely avoid it. It’s a long story.

A Trip To Cameron Highland

We just got back from our trip to Singapore & Malaysia. Well, it’s actually been one month since our return. But as soon as we got home, I have been busy baking and decorating cakes. And Fred has been busy with his new project. So yes, January is a pretty crazy month. And now I’m glad that I’ll be able to take two months off from February to March to prepare our wedding. (I actually don’t know what else to prepare, but I just found it a good reason to take two months off, lol. It’s an acceptable reason for most people). That means I have more time to read books, update my blog, and cook some awesome dishes!

Away From Internet and Merry Christmas!

One of the things that I enjoy the most about traveling is the feeling of being away from people. And that includes people from social media. *introvert detected* Seriously, noisy and kepo people really drains me out.

It’s crazy how my mind is focused more on Instagram and seeing other people’s life rather than enjoying my own. It’s weird that I talk to my “online” friends more that I talk to my family, who I meet every day at home. And the even weirder thing is that I enjoy all that. But at the same time, I don’t feel that it’s right either. It feels good but it’s not right.

I Quit My Job (And Now What?)

Yep…. You read it right.

It’s been two months since I resigned from my 8 to 5 job as a software developer and now I bake and decorate cakes for a living (go check https://www.instagram.com/bakemorecakes/ to see my works! 🙂 ). Sometimes I write too. And so far, it’s the best two months ever. Fred even mentioned about how I never complain about anything anymore, that I was never in a bad mood, and that I made the right choice.

One Day in Hong Kong Disneyland

This post is about my latest trip to Hong Kong last May. It’s a pity that I didn’t take that many photos of the city, but instead, I found myself busy taking pictures of every side of Disneyland. Perhaps because it was the highlight of my trip. Like, it’s one of those days when you feel super happy all the time. Like, you don’t get tired, or bored, or angry. You’re just… happy.

As the 90s kids, I grew up with Mickey Mouse and Disney princesses. (And Tom&Jerry too). So being able to be at the happiest place on earth, to me, was like a years-long dream come true.

Staying at Sheraton Hotel, Bandung

It’s been two years since I left Bandung and I couldn’t be more than happy to be back! It was just a short 2 days vacation. And I had the pleasure to stay for 2 nights at Sheraton Bandung and experience all of their services including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even a spa. 

After all of those months of baking and decorating cake, I found staying here was like a gift, more like a treat, really. I don’t have to do the dishes, I don’t have to deal with my customers. All I did was just relax and enjoy myself.
