Discover Turkish Cuisine Though the Most Typical Dishes

Turkish cuisine is considered to be one of the most varied and exciting in the world. Traditional Turkish food uses flavorsome natural ingredients and a fragrant mix of delightful herbs and spices which appeal to a range of different international palates. Turkish culinary tradition tends to bridge the gap between Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine through an impressive selection of typical national dishes.

Signature Cruise at Ha Long Bay

I’ve never imagined myself to be on a cruise. The only place I knew people usually do cruising is in Caribbean – which I believe is quite far from here. I was kinda surprise they have it here in South East Asia! Yes, we did our first cruise at Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. It’s around 3 hours drive from Hanoi – the capital city of Vietnam.

We booked a 2D1N cruise at Signature Cruise. Well, Fred did it. He took care of all of our tickets, hotels, and many other things. He’s also the one who read the map while we’re walking exploring the city (Hanoi and Saigon). All I’ve got to do is wear my jacket and my shoes since it’s slightly cold there in January. Then I’m ready to go.

A Year in Review : 2013

2013?
Oh well.. What can I say? 2013 has been so exciting yet challenging for me. It is The Year of Travel, if I can give an award to it. But of course I have my dark hours too.

After all, life is not always full of sunshine and smile, isn’t it? But I’ve also learned, that even if you have the most bitter cake in the world, you can always sprinkle an amount of sugar and cinnamon on it. Well at least, to make it tasted better.

Refreshing Afternoon at Lembang Highland

Just exactly last weekend, Fred came by for a short visit. It’s been more than a month (or two?) since we last met. And the fact that he made a plan to visit me last weekend really excites me! There are actually so many places I’m planning to go – mostly are restaurants I never had a chance to visit. But turned out, we visited none of them. We picked random places which is not on my list and all of them turns out to be surprising.

Revolver Espresso at Seminyak Bali

Revolver Espresso came across our little chit chat during our lunch at The Cafe at The Mulia, Bali. Diana mentioned it as the most popular coffee joint in Bali at the moment.

Since I don’t feel like I want to miss this famous coffee during my trip, Gaby and I went there for a brunch on Monday morning. Besides, the breakfast my hotel served was really awful. Even their coffee doesn’t taste like what coffee should be. So I decided to skip my breakfast at the hotel and went for a decent brunch instead.

I am Truly Grateful

Everyone has a story. A story that makes them who they are today. This is mine…

I was raised in a small city, where everyone knows one another’s families. And if you do something disgraceful, we all will notice and talk about it. There’s definitely a lot of social pressure to keep your nose clean, as everybody knew your family and will talk about it. Once one person finds out, the rest of the town will know within minutes. But that’s part of the community. And this is too why, I guess, the bullied kids will forever be bullied until they get themselves out of the town, and change. A lot of my friends did changed after attending university in another town. They even have a lot of new good friends now – which is good for me.

Bandung in One Day

It’s funny when I realize that I barely write things about the town I’ve been living like for 3 years. I mean, Bandung is amazing. It’s one of the most popular tourist site in West Java, Indonesia. And I’ve been to a lot of interesting places. How come I didn’t write anything about it?

Well, the thing is… when I live here, I don’t feel like I’m currently travelling. I mean, I feel like I just simply living my normal university life.

Mini Travel Guide : Bali, Indonesia

HOLA!

I know summer is coming to an end, real quick. People are starting to wear sweater and boots here. And although the sun still shines so bright in the morning,  the rain always seems to pour at noon.

And… before these precious memories of mine lost forgotten, I want to share a summary, I guess, of my favorite place, my favorite foods, and the activities I used to have last summer. This is just another informal mini travel guide about Bali which you can easily find in the internet. But mine is a lil bit personal. You know, I’m not a travel-expert. Not even closed to be one. I don’t get to explore every inches of Bali.  That’s obvious. I just happened to live there, enjoying the island the way I like.
