A Day Well Spent – Hakone Area, Japan

Remember about my last trip in downtown Tokyo a month ago? Well, aside from the busy & crowded Tokyo, now we’re heading southwest to an area called Hakone

Imagine this : a blue sky, a lake with Mt. Fuji at the backgrounda red shrine gate, and of course, the mountainous scenes. That what makes Hakone area one of the most popular resorts in Japan, I think.

Bandung in One Day

It’s funny when I realize that I barely write things about the town I’ve been living like for 3 years. I mean, Bandung is amazing. It’s one of the most popular tourist site in West Java, Indonesia. And I’ve been to a lot of interesting places. How come I didn’t write anything about it?

Well, the thing is… when I live here, I don’t feel like I’m currently travelling. I mean, I feel like I just simply living my normal university life.

Jazz Market By The Sea, Bali

It was 17 August 2013, the Independence day of Indonesia, my beloved country. And it was also our last day staying in Bali since our summer holiday is ending really soon. I found this Jazz Market By The Sea thing from Twitter and decided to spend our day there.

Catching Sunrise at Mount Bromo

In the mid of August, Fred, Cindy and I went for our first hiking at Mount Bromo, East Java, Indonesia. Mount Bromo is quite popular among tourists both local and foreigner for its ‘easy’ hiking track. The highlights of the area are Mount Bromo (with its smoking crater), Mount Penanjakan (the favorite sunrise spot), and Cemoro Lawang (where most visitors stay). There’s also Mount Semeru, the highest mountain in Java. Locals say, it took 2 days straight to hike Mount Semeru. It will never be on my list!

Elephant Trekking Adventure at Pattaya, Thailand

For me, Thailand is all about Tom Yum soup, beautiful beach, and elephant. So that time, we went to Chang Thai Thappraya Adventure Park. It’s near the Pattaya Floating Market, but too bad I can’t find it in google map this time.

Here, you can do many outdoor activities, like buggy cart riding, ATV riding, elephant trekking, horse riding, and many more. But since we are in Pattaya, the best choice for us to do is the elephant trekking, isn’t it? Baca lebih lanjut

Walking the Great Wall of China!

At the end of August 2012, my friend and I went to 北京 (Beijing), China for the first time. I was so excited since I’ve never actually been there before. I couldn’t imagine living in a city where most of the people can’t understand English. Even the receptionist in the hotel we stayed can only speak Chinese Mandarin. Here, language is such a trouble for me. I was like : “Hmm. I should take a Mandarin course as soon as I go back to Indonesia” Baca lebih lanjut

De Ranch, Lembang, Indonesia

In October 2012, my friend and I went to a local ranch located in Lembang, Indonesia. It was approximately 1 hour car-driving from Bandung.

What makes me so excited is that this is actually my first time going to a ranch! And what do you think of when you heard the term ‘ranch’? A horse, of course! I was like : “Yaaay I’m going to ride a horse! A real horse!”. To tell the truth, I’ve never ridden a horse before. I rode an elephant before in Pattaya, Thailand, but, you know, elephant walks so damn slowly and I knew it from the beginning that riding a horse might be completely different. Well, may be not when you’re accompanied by the ‘horse man’. They will make sure we ride our horse safely. Baca lebih lanjut
