Gusto Gelato & Caffè, Bali

“Gusto has the best gelato I have ever tasted!!”

“The best gelato you can find in Bali!”

“Best ice cream not only in Bali, it is world’s best!”

“It’s soo delicious I cant believe it. Better than in Italy.”

And the words go on and on…

Well.. That pretty much sums up what I got when I stumble across Gusto Gelato & Caffè reviews in both Trip Advisor and Foursquare. It was Sunday evening & the summer heat was terrible I can’t stand sitting down on the sea shore. So, I looked for a place which sells gelato, specifically, since I’ve never tasted one and would love to try. And it seems quite clear that people who go to Gusto Gelato & Caffè are satisfied and hooked by it.

The Porch Cafe, Sanur, Bali

If you’ve been following my blog, you’ve probably already known that morning is my favorite time of the day. And that I love breakfast more than lunch and dinner.

And just so you know, I’ve been doing this having-breakfast-outside-on-weekend lately since I live in Bali and it’s like I wanna try all kind of breakfast meals I’ve never had before. One of the most satisfying places in the city to have breakfast in is Bread Basket, Sanur. But since it’s not open for business on Sunday, we began searching for an alternative in Trip Advisor. I looked for a great cafe which serve breakfast on Sunday and I stumbled across this place. The Porch Cafe. I read so many good reviews about the breakfast they serve and it’s in fact quite near from our place. So, we went there for breakfast this last Sunday morning.Lanjutkan membaca “The Porch Cafe, Sanur, Bali”

Naughty Nuri’s, Bali

“Don’t be naughty but nasty. Only poo-poo and pee-pee are allowed here” – a caution sign in Naughty Nuri’s toilet. Ha!

Deus Ex Machina

Last Saturday, Fred found this free postcard I gave him about 2 weeks ago. Turns out, it’s not a postcard even if it looks exactly like one. It’s just a sponsored card which has a route map to Deus Ex Machina in Bali. Since Fred thought it must be one of the coolest place (read: motorcycle workshop) we can found in Bali, we decided to take a step there.Lanjutkan membaca “Deus Ex Machina”

My First Postcard!

I’ve just received my very first postcard about 2 days ago. A lovely friend of mine sent this from Tokyo, Japan. It takes about 2 weeks to reach Indonesia. That’s pretty fast, don’t you think? I mean, I sent the same thing 2 days earlier before she sent this one. But there’s no sign of my postcard arriving in Japan. So… I guess mine got lost along its way so it won’t even reach Japan before my friend go back to Indonesia. I think I better send another one.Lanjutkan membaca “My First Postcard!”

Ubud in One Day – My Way

If you’ve heard people talking about Ubud, it must be something about the spa, the yoga, the meditation, the art, the rice paddle, I don’t know… And people who are looking for inner peace, let’s say, will probably stay in Ubud for like 3 days or a week, just to get the feel of the place and relax a little bit and forget about all the works & problems they’ve been through.Lanjutkan membaca “Ubud in One Day – My Way”

Arena Pub & Restaurant, Sanur, Bali

Whether it’s a special occasion or just a Saturday night, for many people including me, dining out is one of life’s great pleasures. So, when it comes to weekend, I always look for somewhere new for dining out. Well, not always. And the place is not always going to be a new one. Snorkeling at Blue Lagoon Beach, Bali

Traveling is all about adventure, wanderlust, and trying new things. I can’t believe I never snorkeled before. Well, I did scuba-dived once. But that was 4 years ago if I recalled. And I was accompanied with an instructor who always held my hand (or my oxygen tube) here and there under the water. It’s like you can’t even swim freely, you know. So, I’m not really into diving anyway. It’s troublesome, I can say. You’ve got to carry a huge oxygen tube with you. You’ve got to wear the suit, the fin, and well I don’t know… a diving mask?

So…. this summer I got a chance to try a new sport I never did before. Yes, snorkeling! Lanjutkan membaca “Snorkeling at Blue Lagoon Beach, Bali”
