“Gusto has the best gelato I have ever tasted!!”

Well.. That pretty much sums up what I got when I stumble across Gusto Gelato & Caffè reviews in both Trip Advisor and Foursquare. It was Sunday evening & the summer heat was terrible I can’t stand sitting down on the sea shore. So, I looked for a place which sells gelato, specifically, since I’ve never tasted one and would love to try. And it seems quite clear that people who go to Gusto Gelato & Caffè are satisfied and hooked by it.
I was like : “What kind of place is this? Could it be possible that ice cream tasted so good?”
Okay then, we decided to take a try. What makes me surprised is the fact that Gusto Gelato & Caffè is not even located in a strategic area. Their location is a lil bit out of the way. I mean, unlike any other dessert stores you can find in Kuta street, you should look for this store instead. Not just crossing by it accidentally and take a step inside. But still, people come and go so fast. The seats are never empty.
About the gelato… Later I found out that gelato is not just the Italian word for ice cream. They are two different things. For me, gelato has a higher density texture than ice cream. And less fat too.
I had strawberry & soursop flavor, while Fred had mango & soursop. Both of us prefer a ‘sour’ taste that day. And….yeah, people’s right. It tastes………. so damn good. It’s like, I can really taste the real strawberry & soursop. Unlike any other ice cream that use artificial sweeteners and flavorings, Gusto Gelato use only fresh ingredients. Wild! I know.. I know..
Anyway, I also found out that Gusto Gelato is run by Italian & French couple. No wonder it tasted that good, huh? They also serves coffee & fresh pastries which are, I’m sure, undoubtedly good.
