If you’ve been following my blog, you’ve probably already known that morning is my favorite time of the day. And that I love breakfast more than lunch and dinner.
And just so you know, I’ve been doing this having-breakfast-outside-on-weekend lately since I live in Bali and it’s like I wanna try all kind of breakfast meals I’ve never had before. One of the most satisfying places in the city to have breakfast in is Bread Basket, Sanur. But since it’s not open for business on Sunday, we began searching for an alternative in Trip Advisor. I looked for a great cafe which serve breakfast on Sunday and I stumbled across this place. The Porch Cafe. I read so many good reviews about the breakfast they serve and it’s in fact quite near from our place. So, we went there for breakfast this last Sunday morning.
This place is quite small actually, and woody, and sweet. It got a veranda and a small outdoor area for those who prefer the outdoor seats, like us. And it also provide indoor seats with comfortable sofas and air-con. Lots of delicious Aussie meals is here! There are homemade pies, burgers, dory fish fillets, sandwiches, and many more.
And the coffee here is also surprisingly VERY GOOD! Some even say it’s the best you can find in Sanur. I had Flat White while Fred had Bali Coffee, a compliment from the breakfast menu set he ordered.
Since I craved for something sweet that morning, I decided to go for Cinnamon Toast, while Fred had Jezza Recovery Breakfast. It’s kind of a sandwich with eggs & bacon and BBQ sauce with a compliment of plunger coffee / tea and fresh fruit juice. Anyway, you can replace the sandwich with burger bun if you prefer to. But we like sandwich better.
I have no idea why they tasted surprisingly… amazing. It’s like, we didn’t even expect it to be that good. I thought the reviews I found in Trip Advisor were just a bluff. But then I was completely wrong. It turns out that I like it here better than Bread Basket. But still I love both.
Anyway, the cinnamon toast was not too crunchy but indeed it smells and tasted so good. They didn’t put too much cinnamon. And it fits me perfectly. The sandwich is very savory. The eggs were perfectly cooked. And the lady serving us was so kind and friendly.
I’m sure you will love it here just as we do. We’ll definitely come back next week! 🙂

We did come back! This time we went for pancakes and (still) Jezza Recovery Breakfast. Fred love their Recovery Breakfast too much.
Pancakes was soooo fluffy! I love the butter they gave. And the original maple syrup too. And it seemed that Fred enjoy his big breakfast too much. We spent hours sitting in their porch that morning. Lovely place!
