My Favorite Breakfast Spots in Bali

So, what’s for breakfast today?

This question always happens to cross my mind first thing in the morning.

You know, morning has always been my favorite time of the day. It’s the time, the only time, when I can sit all alone, sipping my coffee while listening to the bird chirping, and thinking about everything – about life and future, mostly.

Morning is the time when I know there’s still another day. There’s still another chance. It gives me the time to think. It gives me hope. That’s why I love morning.

Breakfast : Bread Basket, Sanur Bali

There’s always a place where you found yourself keep coming back to. Mine was Bread Basket. A small bakery in Sanur I found during my first week in Bali. The only reason I hooked into Bread Basket a lot was that it serves great breakfast! And it’s quite near from where I live. So.. that makes us best friend.

Churros La Fonda, Bali

Yesterday, after spending hours of swimming and watching sunset in Kuta Beach, we accidentally found a small food stall which sells churros – a traditional Spanish doughnut, in Kuta, Bali. Surprisingly, it’s not a food stand, not even a cafe. But it is a bajaj!

The Porch Cafe, Sanur, Bali

If you’ve been following my blog, you’ve probably already known that morning is my favorite time of the day. And that I love breakfast more than lunch and dinner.

And just so you know, I’ve been doing this having-breakfast-outside-on-weekend lately since I live in Bali and it’s like I wanna try all kind of breakfast meals I’ve never had before. One of the most satisfying places in the city to have breakfast in is Bread Basket, Sanur. But since it’s not open for business on Sunday, we began searching for an alternative in Trip Advisor. I looked for a great cafe which serve breakfast on Sunday and I stumbled across this place. The Porch Cafe. I read so many good reviews about the breakfast they serve and it’s in fact quite near from our place. So, we went there for breakfast this last Sunday morning.Lanjutkan membaca “The Porch Cafe, Sanur, Bali”

Ubud in One Day – My Way

If you’ve heard people talking about Ubud, it must be something about the spa, the yoga, the meditation, the art, the rice paddle, I don’t know… And people who are looking for inner peace, let’s say, will probably stay in Ubud for like 3 days or a week, just to get the feel of the place and relax a little bit and forget about all the works & problems they’ve been through.Lanjutkan membaca “Ubud in One Day – My Way”

In Search of a Good Breakfast – Luhtu’s Coffee Shop, Bali

If you know me well, you’ve probably known that breakfast time is the most important yet exciting time of the day for me. I always ate breakfast every day before I go to work, or to college. Even if I don’t have enough time, I’ll grab some biscuits and bring a cup of hot chocolate with me. It somehow has a control over my mood for all day long.

Since now we’re currently living in Bali, we usually go out for breakfast every weekend. The last time we had outside was in Bread Basket. (Turns out that’s our favorite breakfast/brunch venue). But last Saturday, we decided to try another place. It was Luhtu’s Coffee Shop we were looking for. See? There’s sooo many good reviews about this place in TripAdvisor.Lanjutkan membaca “In Search of a Good Breakfast – Luhtu’s Coffee Shop, Bali”

Bali – 1st Week

As I have mentioned earlier in my previous post, Fred & I are currently living in Bali for a pretty long time. The fact is, we’re gonna spend 2 months here doing our summer internship. Well, I know it sounds like we’re going to be at the office from 8 to 5 during our weekdays and there’s nothing fun about it. But still we can spend our weekends exploring Bali, right?

So, here are some highlights of what we did last week. We spent our first week mostly in Sanur and Kuta. And we’re planning to explore Ubud next week.Lanjutkan membaca “Bali – 1st Week”

Hummingbird Eatery & Guest House

Oh well, here comes another rainy day. I love the fact that the rain never stop pouring in November. And I got even more excited when I found out that the rain never stops in December as well. But you know, weather does, in fact, affect your appetite. I mean my appetite.. People living in cold climates tend to burn more calories each day just to keep their body warm. At least that’s what I read from the internet. So I guess that’s why I’m gaining some weight these days.

… Hey, I’m just trying to made up a pretty-reasonable story why I got this fat big ugly belly.

So, to fulfill my appetite, my sisters and I decided to take a coffee time at Hummingbird Eatery, one of everyone’s favorite cafe in Jalan Progo, Bandung, Indonesia. This place can be easily recognized from its ‘bird’ theme. And you know what? Hummingbird does have a huge bird nest that covers the outdoor seats! How cute is that?Lanjutkan membaca “Hummingbird Eatery & Guest House”
