Breakfast : Bread Basket, Sanur Bali

There’s always a place where you found yourself keep coming back to. Mine was Bread Basket. A small bakery in Sanur I found during my first week in Bali. The only reason I hooked into Bread Basket a lot was that it serves great breakfast! And it’s quite near from where I live. So.. that makes us best friend.

Street Food Bali : Nasi Bebek Bu Rima

When it comes to chilies and peppers, some people like it a lot, like they could just swallow all those spicy ingredients, while some people like it a little and some avoid it. I was raised in a small town in Sumatra island where spicy foods are widely spread. My tongue is somehow used to taste any kind of spicy ingredients.

It’s funny that since I moved out to Bali in June 2013, I haven’t found any spicy foods that really fits my taste. I mean, there are chillies but it doesn’t ‘kick’ me. You know?

Jimbaran Seafood Dinner, Bali

Have you ever been to a place you love so much that you find yourself treasure every moment you spent there? Well, I do. I fall in love with Bali and all the things it has. I love the atmosphere, the beach, the foods, the sunset, the people, everything! I love how people live their lives here doing exciting activities. How families spend their time together. How people take their pets for a walk. How people interact with each other.

First of all, I would say…… living in Bali is like opening thousand of opportunities you’ve never even imagined before. It’s like… I would love to live here for the rest of my life! I mean it.

We had a pleasure to check out what Cuca Flavor is all about yesterday. Cuca is actually a newly opened restaurant in Jimbaran Bali that will be celebrating their grand opening in 10th August 2013. Congrats, guys!

So anyway, we went to Cuca’s soft opening last night and had a chance to meet the two lovely owners, Kevin and Virginia during our visit.

Warung Bho Bho Thai – Tasty Thai Food in Bali

I am a big fan of Thai food. Enough said.

Yeah, when I was a little kid, my mom used to cook Tom Yum Goong soup a lot, since she’s a big fan of Thai food herself. Well, I can say that she’s the one who introduce me to the Thai Food world. In 2011, I had a pleasure to spend my summer in Pattaya Thailand, tasting a variety amount of Thai Food. Believe me, there are so many food stalls serve up cheap and savory foods in Thailand. Yes. Cheap! But here in Indonesia, it’s kinda hard to find a restaurant which serve great Thai food with affordable price. I once went to a restaurant in Jakarta but it was over priced. And the food not even worth the price.

Luckily, I was invited to had a nice dinner at Warung Bho Bho Thai, Kuta, Bali last Saturday.

Churros La Fonda, Bali

Yesterday, after spending hours of swimming and watching sunset in Kuta Beach, we accidentally found a small food stall which sells churros – a traditional Spanish doughnut, in Kuta, Bali. Surprisingly, it’s not a food stand, not even a cafe. But it is a bajaj!

Bali 35th Kite Festival 2013

In 26-28 July 2013, there was this so called Bali 35th International Kite Festival being held along the eastern coast of Padang Galak, just a lil bit north of Sanur. There were hundreds of competitors from all over the island. Most of them fly their pride traditional kites, while the international teams fly their unique-shaped kites – although I didn’t see any international teams that day, but some locals got their uniquely shaped kites as well.

I was lucky enough to be able to stay in Bali when the festival is being held. It’s like… I’ve been waiting for a long time for such a festival.
