Bali – 1st Week

As I have mentioned earlier in my previous post, Fred & I are currently living in Bali for a pretty long time. The fact is, we’re gonna spend 2 months here doing our summer internship. Well, I know it sounds like we’re going to be at the office from 8 to 5 during our weekdays and there’s nothing fun about it. But still we can spend our weekends exploring Bali, right?

So, here are some highlights of what we did last week. We spent our first week mostly in Sanur and Kuta. And we’re planning to explore Ubud next week.Lanjutkan membaca “Bali – 1st Week”

Bali, Here We Are!

Hoooola!

As you can guess from my post title, I’m currently living in Bali for the next 2 months.

Fred & I traveled by car from Jambi City, our hometown in Sumatra island, to Bali. Believe me, it was the most exciting yet tiring road trip I’ve ever experienced. And also the longest one! (Around 1500 miles). We crossed the sea twice by riding the ferry boat & we found some interesting cities along our way. I’ll write about it later. I promise!Lanjutkan membaca “Bali, Here We Are!”

A Lovely Afternoon at Sierra Cafe

We’re born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we’re not alone – Orson Welles

Yes, this was last year. It was November, and the rain never stop pouring here in Bandung. We were lucky the weather was so clear that day, so we decided to head over Sierra Cafe to spend our afternoon together.

We went there on a recommendation of a friend. It turned out to be as good as what I expected. It was 4 pm, and there were no customers yet.Lanjutkan membaca “A Lovely Afternoon at Sierra Cafe”

Beijing Zoo

Going to the zoo has always been exciting for me. No matter how many animals they got in there, I just love walking around and taking a closer look of the animals.

I remember my first zoo visit in my hometown, Jambi. The zoo is really badly maintained. I’m not even sure if there is any maintenance. It’s like you would think that the zoo will be closing really soon. They only got several animals, like elephants, Sumatran tigers, ostrich, some snakes, monkey, and a couple of wild boar. And I don’t even know why they put some pigs in there. It’s like, pig is not even a rare animal, is it?Lanjutkan membaca “Beijing Zoo”

Our Lovely Late Valentine’s Dinner at Nanny’s Pavillon

Last month, our so-called valentine’s dinner was featured in Nanny’s Pavillon, Bandung. I’ve heard so much about this place, but never got a chance to visit it even once. I mean, I could have. But since I heard so many good things about this place, I just want my first visit to be special. And then Fred came by (he lives in Depok) and we decided to take a try.

I’m glad we did! This place is totally great. At least for us. Lanjutkan membaca “Our Lovely Late Valentine’s Dinner at Nanny’s Pavillon”

What I miss the most about Singapore? FOOD!

Last month, I had the pleasure of taking a very quick unplanned trip to Singapore. I don’t really remember what Singapore looks like. What it feels like to stay and travel on my own. I mean, my grandma & my mom are coming too. But we didn’t really catch up together very much there. They have a plan, which doesn’t sound so interesting to us. So we (Karen, Vanessa, Valerie, and me) decided to take a walk by ourselves.Lanjutkan membaca “What I miss the most about Singapore? FOOD!”

A Day in the Movies – Universal Studio Singapore

Hi! It’s been such a long time since my last post, I know. I’m not in my holiday season yet. So, as a matter of fact, I got nothing to write about.

But wait!

I went to Universal Studio Singapore (USS) last month, in 25th February to be exact. And I got too excited! Because you know what, I could finally meet up with Pinocchio, the Madagascar, Puss in Boots, Woody Woodpecker, Shrek, the Elmo, and even Cleopatra!Lanjutkan membaca “A Day in the Movies – Universal Studio Singapore”

8 Reasons to Love Pattaya

For some people who don’t like bar girls, visiting Pattaya might seem like a strange decision to make. But honestly it’s something I’d love to do again in the next occasion.

I first went to Pattaya with my friends 2 years ago. And some of the best and most funniest and exciting times I’ve ever experienced were in this big sin city.

Yes, Pattaya is famous for its sex industry and it’s still going strong day by day. But that’s not Pattaya is all about. There are lots of family-friendly attractions and activities you can do here.Lanjutkan membaca “8 Reasons to Love Pattaya”
