A Day in the Movies – Universal Studio Singapore

Hi! It’s been such a long time since my last post, I know. I’m not in my holiday season yet. So, as a matter of fact, I got nothing to write about.

But wait!

I went to Universal Studio Singapore (USS) last month, in 25th February to be exact. And I got too excited! Because you know what, I could finally meet up with Pinocchio, the Madagascar, Puss in Boots, Woody Woodpecker, Shrek, the Elmo, and even Cleopatra!Lanjutkan membaca “A Day in the Movies – Universal Studio Singapore”

8 Reasons to Love Pattaya

For some people who don’t like bar girls, visiting Pattaya might seem like a strange decision to make. But honestly it’s something I’d love to do again in the next occasion.

I first went to Pattaya with my friends 2 years ago. And some of the best and most funniest and exciting times I’ve ever experienced were in this big sin city.

Yes, Pattaya is famous for its sex industry and it’s still going strong day by day. But that’s not Pattaya is all about. There are lots of family-friendly attractions and activities you can do here.Lanjutkan membaca “8 Reasons to Love Pattaya”

A Year in Review : 2012

Yes, I know this is a little bit too late for posting a 2012-review. But I don’t care. Better late than never, isn’t it?

Well, 2012 has been a great eventful year for me. I traveled a lot (compared to 2011 when I went to Bali and Pattaya), I ate a lot, cooked a lot, rest a lot, study a little and unfortunately, I understand the lesson even less. The weird thing is, I’m completely okay with that.

I started the year off with a few travel resolutions, involving food and fitness (which turned out that I only did the exercise twice), and some others like ‘getting a summer internship’. Well this one worked.Lanjutkan membaca “A Year in Review : 2012”

Travelling to the Beaches in West Java, Indonesia

I’ve been living in a tropical country for my whole life and I don’t think I’ll move out to a country with a cold climate. Because you know what? What’s so great about living in a tropical island is that you don’t have to wait till summer to go to the beach! This is what I do to start a new year.

Fred and I decided to take a 3-days road trip to the beaches in the west side of Java island. Since we didn’t have any plans for our holiday, we just packed our stuffs and headed to the city of Anyer, Banten in West Java.Lanjutkan membaca “Travelling to the Beaches in West Java, Indonesia”

Monas, The National Monument of Indonesia

For some people, Monas is just an icon of Jakarta – the capital city of Indonesia. Just like the Eiffel of Paris, perhaps or the Pisa of Italy. I don’t know. I’ve never even been in those places before. Or maybe for some others, Monas is just an old museum or a recreation park where people can jog and have some exercises in Sunday morning. Or perhaps some people even have no idea of what it is inside Monas & they just don’t wanna know about it. They’ll say : “Why should we bother about a monument when we got a lot of malls here in Jakarta? I can’t see anything special about it”. (Well, as a matter of fact, I’m sooo sick of malls.) But for some people, Monas is much more than that. It’s a symbol of struggle. A symbol of freedom and independence.Lanjutkan membaca “Monas, The National Monument of Indonesia”

How to Survive in China Without Knowing How to Speak Chinese

You are a Chinese Indonesian, aren’t you? Why can’t you speak Chinese?

Well, when I was a kid, my mom used to forced me to have a Chinese lesson. I did actually. But I stopped without even mastering the language at the end. I used to hate learning to speak Chinese. I mean, it’s so hard to be pronounced, to be written, and to be read. Everything about it just seems so difficult to me… Who’s with me? Raise your hand!Lanjutkan membaca “How to Survive in China Without Knowing How to Speak Chinese”

Highland Hideaway : Puncak, Indonesia

For those who are looking for a quick hideaway from the crowded city, Jakarta, perhaps Puncak (means Peak) is one of the choice you have. This place has a beautiful view of tea plantation, botanical gardens, some small theme park for kids, and local restaurants which is good enough for those who are starving. Well, people said, Puncak is a little piece of paradise in West Java. It used to be actually. Not until people are beginning to throw trashes everywhere and brings too many member of their families every weekend so that Puncak is always wayyy too crowded every weekend.Lanjutkan membaca “Highland Hideaway : Puncak, Indonesia”

Dinosaurs come alive at China!

When I was a little kid, I used to be a fanatic fan of Jurassic Park. It’s like I could and I always wanted to re-watch all of the Jurassic Park movie. Even if the earlier movies seem not real enough, it doesn’t matter to me.

I knew exactly that Dinosaurs are not longer alive since 65 million years ago or so. But I often caught my self wondering and imagining that I’m living in a world where dinosaurs are still alive, when you can see them with your own eyes, and you have to run away escaping from the T-Rex. Life will be so much exciting, I thought.Lanjutkan membaca “Dinosaurs come alive at China!”
