It was a fine afternoon at Bali. Not too sunny, but the weather was dry and clear. I found it a perfect time to feed my skin with sun exposure after finishing my lunch at Cuca Flavor. So right after lunch, me and Meidiana decided to take a walk around Seminyak area, just for the sake of setting everything down, until we accidentally passed this french bakery with Monsieur Spoon sign on it.
Monsieur Spoon? It did sound familiar to me. Not that I’ve been there before but I thought I’ve spotted some pic from Instagram and I remembered how people kept mentioning about the pastries and about Monsieur Spoon being the best bakery in Bali.
Without any further discussion, we walked inside and picked some stuffs for coffee break.
Anyway, later I found out that Monsieur Spoon does have 3 branches around Bali. One in Seminyak (the one I went over!), one in Umalas, and one in Canggu. This small cafe over here is soooo cozy! But I heard the one at Umalas is even more lovely.
It has both indoor and outdoor seats, with wooden chairs and tables and some plants. Now, let’s enjoy the weather!
I had a cup of Long Black (IDR 25k), which was just okay, and some Mini Tartlets (IDR 15k each) and also Chocolate Mousse (IDR 28k).
We picked mini Chocolate and Salted Caramel tart. And they were…… incredible! I mean, the tartlet has this buttery crumbly crust with thick fillings. The chocolate was soooo thick and it combines very well with my coffee.
And here comes another ooey gooey from Monsieur Spoon. Chocolate Mousse. It’s thick, creamy, airy and chocolaty at the same time. Take a scoop and you’ll be wanting more!

I know.. I know… I haven’t been able to try much that day. I can’t believe I didn’t even try their famous croissant! Stupid me. Promise I’ll stop by whenever I’m back to the island again! For the sake of croissant. And some tart, I guess. And coffee too…

The degree of importance to come back and try their croissant is very visible with the big black bold fonts. I think I have it embedded in my head now. :))
LOLLLLLLLL. Embedded lah! Akoh speechless. Yuk Bali yuk. Jenuh di Jakarta :((
