We’re born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we’re not alone – Orson Welles

Yes, this was last year. It was November, and the rain never stop pouring here in Bandung. We were lucky the weather was so clear that day, so we decided to head over Sierra Cafe to spend our afternoon together.
We went there on a recommendation of a friend. It turned out to be as good as what I expected. It was 4 pm, and there were no customers yet.
It was my first time in the cafe, and I was immediately drawn to the atmosphere. The city view, the breeze, the place, you know, everything…. was just so nice and relaxing. I definitely love the view from the balcony. And needless to say, the food was great, and yes, it is very affordable. They offer a good selection of Western, Indonesian, and also Japanese food.
Anyway, the indoor seats are also available for those who find that dining outdoors are a little bit too chilly. And don’t be surprise, it could be so cold at night, so you better dress warm or you’ll end up being like a dying duck. And be prepared if you go to Sierra at Saturday night. It could be so crowded!
We ordered Sierra Special Soup (which is a zuppa soup), Chicken Au Gratin, Pyramid of Calamary, Orange Mocktail, and Hot Tea. I didn’t had my lunch before so don’t be surprise. This is not an afternoon snack, okay? It was a late lunch. And I always need more food for late lunch than what I need for lunch itself.
In short, we had a great afternoon. And my tummy’s happy.
