You know, recently I’ve been spending some time experimenting with moka pot to make espresso at home.
If you don’t know what that is, it’s a simple stove-top coffee maker which produces espresso with not-so-high pressure. So I guess you can’t really make latte art with this, if that’s what you’re looking for. Moka Pot is a usual coffee maker in Italian’s home, they said.

You know, lately, I don’t have the urge to explore new restaurants or new cafes in town. Those kind of experience sort of bored me out. Like, I’ve done that quite a lot and now I’m done with it (not permanently of course). I’ve been eating more and more healthy food at home. I eat less red meat, more fruits, no processed or canned food, … Continue reading Black Glutinous Rice Chiffon Cake
Exactly last month, I skimmed through my mother’s recipe book and found this old-fashioned marble cake recipe. I thought, why not try to bake one myself? It looked easy and I got all the ingredients at home already. It couldn’t get any easier.
This pretty cake is a combination of vanilla and chocolate batter that are swirled before the baking process to create this marbled effect look. I’m not good at swirling, yet, but ain’t she pretty?

There were times when Molten Lava Cakes was such a popular desserts. Like, all of a sudden, this dessert popped up in a lot of restaurant or cafe menu. People took a pic of it, shared it on their social media as if they were saying : “Yo world, I’ve finally tried this fancy dessert! Bet you haven’t.”
And BOOM!, the fame was over. There came another kind of desserts, more good looking, more “photogenic” which make it a lot easier to catch with our camera. I can’t believe how fast November has gone. It’s been such a great and cold month with heavy rain falling every single day here. And you should know how much I love November Rain. I’m gonna miss it.
But here comes December, everyone’s favorite month! I have no idea of what December is going to be. Is it going to be fun or hectic or sad or whatever… I’m just so friggin’ excited of what December may brings! My final exams are due to start exactly next week and then there will be Christmas holiday! Well, although I’m not a christian, I must admit that I’m in love with Christmas. I love the way they made up stories about Santa, and how they decorate the Christmas tree so beautifully, and how Christmas songs are played every where. I found myself enjoying every little things about Christmas. And one thing you shouldn’t miss about Christmas is… a Christmas party! When it comes to a rainy & cold season like this, there’s no way you can travel here and there without getting wet, well unless you are rich enough to own a car. But I have no car, and I’m not rich either, so what I do these days is staying all day at home doing my school works and cook some nice foods. Warm foods, to be exact. You know, here in Bandung, Indonesia – the city I’ve been living for these past 3 years – the heavy rain keeps falling EVERYDAY in November. It’s like, I can’t even reach the nearest restaurant. So… the only thing you can do when you’re starving is either dial fast food restaurant for food delivery or just simply cook something easy. Continue reading “Chicken Porridge”
It’s been such a looong time since the last time I cooked. You know, I’m currently a little bit busy with my school work, so… there’s no way I’m gonna spend an hour or so in the kitchen doing some cooking experiments which I don’t even know what the result may bring.
But then I found this baked spaghetti recipe in the internet & it seems quite easy that I don’t even need more than 10 minutes of preparation! I mean, the baking session actually takes 20 – 25 minutes, it’s according of how you want your cheese to looks like. But I do nothing at that moment, right? So let us just count it as 10 minutes so this recipe sounds a lot easier. Continue reading “Easy Baked Spaghetti”
